Management is awful and annoying to deal with. Water is constantly turned off for the entire complex (literally all residents), sometimes as often as 3 times a month for the same repeating issues. Constant repairs needed in the apartment and management always chooses the cheapest quality options from air conditioning units to shower heads. Lots of crime in the area and occasionally in the parking lot itself, but no security or cameras. Don’t move here no matter how cheap they make it.

Used to be great apartments but new owners swooped in and sky rocketed rent. No longer affordable. Old apartment buildings with lots of problems like constant water shut offs and shared utilities. Not worth a 600 dollar raise in rent. Predatory owners. Don't recommend.

I have a few issues here but it seems that there are steps being taken towards my complaints. So I'm going to hold off my criticisms for a bit. I'll update my rating depending how the rest of the month goes.

Going on 5 years living here. Was good until they made everyone switch to having Dominsu do automatic rental collection. Never been late or had a late fee. But since Dominsu, I've had 3 day notices with huge late fees put on my door. Money has always been available for them to collect one notice with fat late fees was due to THEM taking out the wrong amount on the automatic payment. Looking to get some media coverage to do a story here & an attorney to find grounds to get out of this lease. Being scammed out of hundreds in late fees is terrible. If your a resident experiencing same problems, please get in touch with me. This is not right.

We have lived at the 500 for 4 years and are happy with our experience. The manager and handywoman are personable and we feel like they know us and our apartment personally. Whenever we have a maintenance request, it is taken care of quickly. Our apartment in particular (and several others) has an amazing real stone wood-burning fireplace that fills the entire wall. It is stunning and our guests always compliment it. The buildings are old, and the most common issue is losing our water (or hot water) for frequent plumbing repairs. We are always notified of these water loses in advance. Also with age- our floors do creak. It is currently going through a transfer in ownership, so I hope that it keeps all the good, personal things that we like and improve some of the older aspects. I will update this review if the change is drastic enough to warrant it!

I was wary of past reviews for this apartment complex, but the new management have proven themselves to be open, honest, and trustworthy. They showed me the actual unit I would rent as well as the model unit. They were transparent about the lease conditions and have taken and responded to all of my calls and emails quickly. Their leasing agent is really kind and the new manager is down to earth and empathetic but professional. Their staff are working a lot but they will always take time for you. These are good people, and I'm really glad I found them.
